How to clean coffee stains off your mug!

In this video, cleaning expert, Melissa Maker, shows you how easy it is to remove stains from coffee mugs or other stained porous materials using baking soda. It’s safe, quick, easy and effective! Sarah asked: How do I remove stains in my mug from coffee (or tea)? Answer: What you need- 1) Stained mug 2) Pinch of baking soda 3) Tap water Shake a bit of baking soda into the bottom of the stained mug. Pour a bit of tap water into the mug and use your finger to remove the stain by gently rubbing the bottom of the cup with your fingertip. Try to get the baking soda and water to swish around for best results. FYI: Baking soda is a mild abrasive and will gently ‘scratch off’ stains, even ones that have seeped into the ‘pores’ of the material. Porous surfaces tend to absorb and trap dirt, which creates stains. Try this technique on a variety of surfaces including china, porcelain, ceramic, laminate counters, containers, tea pots, everyday dishware, stained small appliances, etc….
